This programme develops key leadership skills for senior IT professionals. We start by introducing an emotional intelligence based framework to separate the individual key components of leadership success. The skills are further developed using role play and case studies.
Corporate politics for IT managers
This programme will put organisational politics into context and demonstrate the importance of building trust using case studies and a ‘political game’. Political behaviour is a consequence of differing values, beliefs and aspirations and we explain how to put these in context, by looking at the different types of “political animal.” We examine what it takes to achieve long term “political” success and how teams can achieve “win-win” outcomes even in the most difficult of circumstances? This programme is run by Dr Robina Chatham, author of the best-selling book Corporate Politics for IT Managers.
Senior Level Influence
IT executives have a wider business role to play, with a need to influence the business at large. This is one of the skills mastered by all the successful IT professionals. We examine how managers can extend their sphere of influence and review how to present concepts to senior executives. In particular we look at the role of senior IT professionals play in guiding those IT decisions made outside of IT.
