Join us on a 5 day journey of discovery...

Join us on a five-day journey of discovery that will demonstrate how to build robust IT strategies, implement effective governance, manage change and improve financial performance.

IT Leadership

You will learn leadership skills that will enable you to build high calibre teams and inspire them to deliver improved performance. You will also learn how to influence other senior people in the organisation so that the role of IT is recognised and considered in strategic decisions.

Strategic leadership

You will be involved in case studies that introduce leading IT stategic thinking. You will participate in scenario plannning to identify and test the best strategies that match the needs of your business. You will also learn a balanced scorecard approach to measure your performance and success.

Peer leadership

We will introduce you to project portfolio management, choosing, prioritising and managing the best projects for your business. You will also learn the advanced principles of programme management, business process improvement and how to manage change. Finally, you will develop real sales skills that will radically change IT and the way your team is viewed in the organisation.

Innovation and change

You will be ready to look more closely at IT operations and the key processes. You will be shown a structured approach to problem solving and decision making to deal with the operational and other issues you might encounter. You will work through a range of major incidents that could arise and learn about business continuity planning and the principles of secure organisations.

Corporate leadership

Your focus will be on financial and contract performance. Here you will learn the secrets of setting budgets and managing your opex and capex. You will get the inside track on building financially sound business cases, measuring your return on investment and the intangible benefits. Contract management and negotiation skills will be developed and you will be instructed on the art of successful out-sourcing, off-shoring and in-sourcing.

Continuous Development

After day 5 you will be able to apply the skills and knowledge that you have learnt to make you a more effective and confident senior IT professional. You will also have the support, help and advice of other well-trained senior IT professionals who have been through the same programme and who speak the same language.
